MetView - New design for tower personel

MetView is a separate new accessory now available as a client window, to present input data from AWOS in graphic form. Graphic presentation simplifies the reading of current weather data and at the same time provides a clear understanding of the current status of the runway in use. MetView also presents calculated values for QNH, tailwind components, METAR/SPECI, METREPORT/SPECIAL and date and time (UTC) plus sunrise and sunset times.

MetView is a tool primarily intended for air traffic controllers and runway maintenance personnel and can be  installed in a stand alone client system or in a standard AWOS client. MetView also has night view with colours specially designed for dusk and night use. The user friendly tab system enables several runways and associated sensor data to be presented in the same HMI.

You can reconfigure presented information using different fonts, font sizes, font formats and placing. The runway displayed can be rotated on the screen to obtain the correct angle from the control tower or any other position. The tab system enables data from several airports to be displayed.
